Defective, April 30, 2012 By  Mike - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Summit Superlite Bivi (Misc.) I believe the tent (or bivi, or whatever) I received is defective. When setting it up, it took wayyy to much force to bend the poles into place. Once in place, I actually heard them crack! Took them out and saw hairline fractures on both poles. Feeling stupid, I emailed the manufacturer (Rab) sheepishly telling them that I didn't know how to set up the tent and had cracked the poles. I asked them for both repair instructions for the poles, as well as instructions on how to set up the tent. They emailed me back saying that I must have received a tent with poles that are too long (apparently a batch of tents went out with poles that were too long). That sounds like EXACTLY the issue that I had. The Rab representative told me to contact the seller to arrange a return. I've emailed the seller to set up a return, but haven't heard anything back yet.
