I purchase this for my GnG (Grab and Go) bag. The package came with the tent and cording as promised and in the alloted time.I haven't put it up yet and probably won't except in an emergency. Once opened up, it will likely be hard to refold to it's current small size. The material seems sturdy enough for its planned use. I'm guessing it's about 4 to 5 mil vinyl. So it should be adequate for the temporary protection it is designed for. I wouldn't plan to use it for an extended period. Ok, so the downside (why I only gave it 3 stars). The top cord will hold it up as shown in the photo. There are not any stakes to hold the sides in place. I'm planning to run a couple of additional cords along the bottom sides to keep hold everything where it's supposed to be. I guess you could use rocks or branches as spreaders too. To sum it up, good value for the price, adequate shelter in an emergency, another dollar for stakes and grommets would have given... Read more |
