Great solo tent value, March 27, 2012 By  Dale E. Garrison - See all my reviews    This review is from: Kelty Gunnison 1.1 (Sports) I've just used this tent for a second short backpacking trip and would recommend it. What I especially like is that it's a true self-supporting tent that provides shelter and some usable space and which could be set up on a rock ledge. It is a solo tent and as such is compact. I'm 5'8" and the length is more than enough, but the width deserves some caution, especially if you're particularly broad shouldered or have a really thick sleeping bag. On the plus side, I can easily sit up (even when using the overhead storage) and the vestibule seems especially handy. At 4 lbs, 4 oz it's not the lightest, but at this price point and with these features, that's hard to beat. I'll be using it for some time!
